Summary: Laura is a schoolgirl who’s moved to Tokyo. She has a pet hamster named Hamtaro. While she’s away at school, Hamtaro has adventures with his friends, the hamsters known as the Ham-Hams.

The Good: This series is very cute. The Barney crowd will definitely enjoy it.

The Bad: It’s likely to lose its appeal as the viewer gets older. Offensive Material: None.

Overall: As Hello Kitty and Pokémon have shown us, the Japanese love to create cute animal-like characters, and this series is no exception. If you feel that most anime is too violent, I would strongly suggest this series.

My Rating (out of 4): 3.5

: A (All ages) Note: Hamtaro is based on the illustrated stories by Ritsuko Kawaii.
