Genre: Sci-fi/Sports

Creator/Studio: Production IG/Toonami

Company: Bandai

DVD info: 5 5-minute episodes, 26+ regular-length episodes; 2+ DVD's in both regular and "Toonami" editions (the Toonami edition is like what's on TV)

Summary: It's the year 2048, and the world's greatest mecha race, the IG-1, is underway. A team of rookies called Team Satomi has entered the race. But can they catch that checkered flag?

The Good: Impressive visuals and a star-studded VA cast: Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Mark Hammil (Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars trilogy), and Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious) all show up. I also like how different all the teams are.

The Bad: Since it's internationally produced, I hope the elitists won't overload it with bad press. It sometimes seems like it's just eye candy.

Offensive Material: Mild big-robot style violence.

My Review: 3.5 Category: A

Comment: IGPX is produced exclusively for Cartoon Network. Other Production IG titles include: Patlabor and the Ghost in the Shell franchise.
