Summary:Lupin is a man who comes from three generations of internationally-thieves. He's continuing his family's tradition with the help of Jigen, a sharpshooter; Goemon, a samurai, and the beautiful Fujiko. And let's not forget Inspector Zenigata, who's always trying to catch Lupin and his pals.

The Good:Lots of humor and action-packed plots.

The Bad:The anime's old, so the artwork's hard to get used to. Also, you may not be able to get all the pop culture humor.

Offensive Material:Lots of bad language and mostly slapstick violence. Some off-color humor as well. Lupin is not an admireable person.

Overall:Lupin IIIis a guilty pleasure. It's not for everyone, but it's worth a look.

My Review:(out of 4)3.0Age Rating:C(Caution--Teens only)

Note:Lupin III is inspired by a French comic book character name Arsene Lupin created by Maurice Leblanc. Tokyopop has published the manga version, which has 14 vols. in all. There's also another title published by Tokyopop, Lupin III: World's Most Wanted. There were three Lupin IIIseries. The first, Curse of the Wolf, lasted 23 episodes. The second, The New Adventures of Lupin III, lasted for 155 episodes, and is the one Cartoon Network played during its Adult Swim block. The final series, Lupin III, lasted for 50 episodes, and is not highly regarded. You can tell which one you're watching by the color of Lupin's coat: green for the first, red for the second, and pink for the third.
