Title: Ronin Warriors
Genre: Fantasy/Superhero
Creator/Studio: Sunrise
DVD Info: 39 episodes, 10 DVD’s
Company: Bandai
Summary: Five warriors are endowed with magical armor that gives them power over the elements in order to fight an evil dynasty from another dimension.
The Good: The show is action-packed, with great heroes. The animation may be old school (it was made back in the 80’s, I think), but it’s still very cool. It also has one of the coolest finales in anime.
The Bad: I felt it was too short when it was on TV.
Offensive Material: The cartoon makes references to Greek and Egyptian mythology. The characters use magical powers and fight demons.
Overall: Ronin Warriors was the cartoon that got me hooked on anime. I loved the whole thing.
My Rating: 4.0 Age Rating: A (All Ages)
Note: Ronin Warriors is developed from the series Yoroiden Samurai Troopers. The series debuted in the US in 1999 and had a brief run on Cartoon Network’s Toonami block. The word “ronin” means “masterless warrior”.
