Summary: Kenshin Himora was once the legendary and feared Battousai during the years that preceded the Meiji Era (the late 1800's). Now he wants to be a wanderer and has reversed his blade. But the past always has a way of catching up, no matter how elusive you are. In this anime, he meets a man named Shigure, a member of the Aizu clan, who is attempting to rouse his surviving clansmen to usurp the government. Can Himora stop him before the innocent lives he's sworn to protect are threatened?
The Good: If you've watched Rurouni Kenshin on Cartoon Network, you'll really enjoy this. It's more action-packed than Rurouni Kenshin, but still pretty good. Even if you haven't seen Rurouni Kenshin, you can still enjoy this video. The Bad: I had a little trouble with the fact that the original voice of Himora is done by a woman. Not to be sexist, but it just doesn't fit this character. Stick to the dub, even if it's a different cast from the Rurouni Kenshin series.
Offensive Material: Mildly graphic violence and mild language. Usage of alcohol and or cigarettes.
Overall: If you've watched Rurouni Kenshin on Cartoon Network, don't pass up the Samurai X movies. This is also good if you liked Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Shogun, orThe Last Samurai.
My Review: (out of 4) 4.0 Category: C (Caution: Not recommended for those under 12)
Note: This is based on the Rurouni Kanshin manga, qhixh ia published in America by Viz. Kenshin Himora also stars in Rurouni Kenshin.
