Summary: It was prophesied that when a girl named Pacifica turned 16, she would destroy the world. She is being cared for by her siblings, who do not care about the prophecy. But now she is of age. WIll she fulfill the prophecy? And what of the Peacemakers, who have oppressed the humans? Why are they so interested in her?
The Good: Pacifica is truly the core of the series. Her quirky, cheerful personality makes her almost instantly admireable. I'm amazed at how upbeat she is, considering her "destiny". I also enjoy the series' fairy tale approach.
The Bad: The series is kind of a downer at times.
Offensive Material: Pacifica takes lots of baths. Raquel uses magic often. There's also some language. Also, an evil "church" is after Pacifica, attempting to kill her in order to prevent the disaster she's supposed to bring.
Overall: This series is quite charming and has great theme songs. If you like stuff like Disney's fairy tale cartoons, this is for you.
My Review: 4.0 Category: C
Comment: Tokyopop publishes both the novels and the manga this series is adapted from. Other Bones studio titles include: Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist, RahXephon, and Wolf's Rain.
