Title: s-CRY-ed
Genre: Sci-fi
Company: Bandai
DVD Info: 26 episodes, 6 DVD's
Summary: 26 years ago, the Kanagawa region of Japan, was hit by a massive earthquake which devastated the area known as "Lost Ground". This awakened the Alter Users, humans with psychic abilities that can create robotic copies of themselves. Kazuho is their leader. A paramilitary organization called HOLY is charged with keeping them under control, but there are Alters in this organization as well. Who will win in this war?
The Good: Lots of action and good animation here. It's reminiscent of X-men. Kazuho is a great hero who's reluctant to get involved, but when he sees HOLY's not worried about keeping the peace, he decides to act.
The Bad: I can't really say anything bad about this.
Offensive Material: Mild violence and language. It may be offensive that a paramilitary organization named HOLY is doing bad stuff.
Overall: If you like X-men, you should watch this. This is a great series.
My review: 4.0
Category: B (Borderline, parental guidance suggested)
Note: Sunrise studios' credits include Brigadoon, Betterman, Inu-Yasha, and the Gundam franchise. Tokyopop publishes the manga version of S-CRY-ed.
