Genre:Weird
Creator: Hideyuki Tanaka
Company: ADV Films
DVD Info: 14 8-minute episodes and 12 20-minute episodes, 3+ volumes
Summary: Meet Super Milk-Chan, the world's laziest and cutest super-heroine...if you can call her that. This bizarre (and we mean bizarre!)cartoon evokes the quirky style seen in the cult US cartoon The Ren and Stimpy Show. None of the cast has any powers and they fight crime with sheer stupidity.
The Good:Um, nothing's good about it. Even the fact that some of the episodes are short doesn't save it.
The Bad: Where to begin? It doesn't make sense, it's not funny, it's boring, and you probably won't understand all the Japanese pop culture references.
Offensive Material:Milk likes to say "You dumbass!" a lot.
Overall: UGH! To quote Beavis of Beavis and Butthead, "This sucks worse than anything that has ever sucked before." Milk does a body good, but Super Milk-Chan will rot your brain!
Our Review: 1.0 (out of 4)
Note: This series started out as part of a variety show called Flyer. Apparently, the bits were popular enough to extend it to an independent series. Hideyuki Tanaka is also credited on Cardcaptors, Nightwalker: Midnight Detective, Record of Lodoss War, Riding Bandit, and Hellsing.
