Tenchi the Movie 2: The Daughter of Darkness

Genre: Sci-fi/Fantasy

Creator: Kajishima Masaki/AIC

Company: Geneon

Running Time: 1 hour

Summary: It's Christmas at Tenchi's house, and everyone's happy. That is, until a strange blue-haired girl named Mayuka shows up, claiming to be Tenchi's daughter! But Ryoko and Washuu think something's fishy. And who's the demon watching in the shadows? Could she be behind this?

The Good:Tenchi Muyo is almost always great, and this is no exception. If you're not familiar with Tenchi Muyo, this is a great place to start.

The Bad: It's oo short for a "movie". It could've just been a two-part episode of Tenchi Universe. Offensive Material: Mild violence and language. Brief nudity.

Overall: Tenchi the Movie 2: The Daughter of Darkness is 60 minutes of Tenchigoodness. I loved it!

My review: 3.5 Category: B (Borderline. Parental Guidance suggested).

Note: This is inspired by the manga No Need for Tenchi. It's the second of three Tenchi movies (Tenchi Muyo in Love and Tenchi Foreverare the other two) There were also three TV series (Tenchi Muyo!, Tenchi Universe, and Tenchi in Tokyo.) and a spin-off (Magical Girl Pretty Sammy.) Masaki also created Dual: Parallel Trouble Adventure.
