| These Road signs introduced in the late sixties,used to vanish around the Roads ofYorkshire, only to be found later attached to the rear of our Blue Regiment 3 Tonners, much to the annoyance of the Snowdrops ~~~~~~~~~~~(hence the saying and the chosen name for this site) |

| WHILST HERE THEY TAUGHT ME TO SHOOT , THEY TAUGHT ME TO SIGNAL, THEY TAUGHT ME TO READ A MAP, AND HOW TO DRIVE A SCOUT CAR,.THEY SHOWED ME THE WATERING HOLES OF CATTERICK VILLAGE AND THE NIGHTLIFE OF DARLINGTON TOWN WITH BOXING LESSONS ON THE HIGH ROW, AND THE DANCING TRIPS TO RAF MIDDLETON ST GEORGE, THEY TAUGHT ME KEEP FIT ON THE YORKSHIRE MOORS,IN THE COLD AND THE RAIN AND THE WINTER SNOWS,THEY TAUGHT US TO RISE EARLY SO THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO DOUBLE ROUND THE AIRFIELD |
