| EARLY OCTOBER 1969 SEEN THE RAF REGIMENT ENTER ANOTHER THEATRE OF OPERATIONS. DUE TO THE ARMY BEING OVERSTRETCHED THE DECISION WAS TAKEN IN LONDON TO SEND THE ROCKS INTO ULSTER TO QUELL THE CIVIL RIGHTS DISTURBANCES, YES, ONCE MORE THE ROYAL AIR FORCE REGIMENT FIRST IN SETTING UP COMMUNICATIONS AND BARRACKS FOR THE REST OF THE BRITISH FORCES. Advance party from 37F SQDN TOOK UP RESIDENCE IN THE POLICE BARRACKS IN DUNGANNON AND POMEROY COUNTY TYRONE WITH THE REST OF THE SQDN BILLETED AT LISNAKELLY BARRACKS OMAGH, HOME OF THE 17/21st LANCERS. |

| Does anyone remember the flooded out houses in the Omagh housing estate in which we used Aircraft blowers to dry them out as well as our fire tenders to drain the water away.Does anyone have any pics during that time. All this before they started shootin at us. |
