Keeping Your Farrier Happy
1)When your farrier is working and they are so hot the sweat is pouring off their face, do not look at um and say..."Man, I'm hot, I am gonna go get a beer"..., and then bring it back and drink it in front of um!
2) When your horse is done doing a back flip on top of your farrier, do not look at um and say..."Are you ok, that's wierd, he's never done that before!"
3) Keep all ankle biting dogs away from the shoeing area!
4) Please don't allow your horse to nibble on your farriers butt!
5) When your farrier has completed 6 out of your 9 horses, dont look at him and say..."Boy, I'm tired of standing here, I'm gonna go inside..., you don't mind do you?!"
6) Be there when the farrier arrives and have your horse caught up and standing nice, just beggin' for his feet to be done! "Horse says..."No, No, Me first, Me first...I love the farrier!!!!"
7) Do not call the farrier at 10pm and tell him you have an extreme emergency...."My horse lost a shoe!"
8) Do not feed the horse carrots and cookies while he is cow kickin the farrier!
9) Do not ask the farrier to drive his big rig round back, only for um to find a gate smaller than the truck!
10) Last but not least... Please do not stand there goo goo baby talkin to your horse while the farrier is working on him...This gets very annoying to listen to! |
