JULY 2003 MOTORCYCLE TRIP |
|
|
We started July 3 and rode through the middle of New Mexico and Arizona and made it to Laguna Beach, CA (south of LA) to visit Catherine's Uncle Frank on the 4th day. We spent 2 days riding up Hwy 1 (Pacific Coast Highway), then began the trip home via Hwy 50 (the Lonliest Road in America) from Lake Tahoe through Nevada. We rode through the fantastic rock formations of southern Utah to the 4 Corners Area, and headed on to Tishomingo from there. We really enjoyed the huge variations in scenery we saw. As always when riding on 2 lane highways, we saw some interesting sights and met some interesting people, all of whom were very friendly and nice. We rode a little over 4600 miles in 11 days of riding with a day of rest in Laguna Beach thrown in. Here are a few pictures from the trip. If you would like a more detailed narrative, click here.
