Here we celebrate the worst mishaps in Queen FanFiction history...or at least some botched attempts at good Queen stories, along with some of my many failed attempts at humorous Lord of the Rings fiction that [Laura] wrote under a different name-- Elijah's Angel 2002. | Roger Taylor and the Fabled Drum-Set |
| RTFDS was supposed to be an insanely humorous Lord of the Rings-style action/adventure fic where our favorite blonde-haired drummer and company travel to Tokyo, Japan after Rog hears straight from the mouths of his bandmates that a mysterious gold-plated "drum set" that can grant any wish is hidden in a tomb atop Tokyo Tower, but trouble follows them as a band of kooky Queen alter-egos called King (the members' first names are the same as the Queenies' last names and vice versa) chase them to Tokyo in a repeatedly botched attempt to nab it before Roger, Freddie, Brian, and John. When Roger finally finds the Fabled Drum Set, he is appalled at the fact that the "drum set" is only a little charm bracelet bearing a single charm resembling a drum set. We wrote this way back when we were but Lord of the Rings addicts with a newly found obsession. This dandy was originally called "Brian May and the Fabled Drum Set", but we soon found out that the drummer's name was Roger--not Brian, so we made the fix, but it still did no good, as the whole thing lacked plot and it was basically the Queenies and Kingpins arguing back and forth and threatening to 'kick each other's @$$es'. This first lolly-gag was rated PG-13 for the excessive use of the D***, SH!T, and @$$ words. Also, we had our Queenies, Kingpins, and instruments mixed up MAJORLY! Here's how we originally wrote it--the only ones I got right were Freddie Mercury/Mercury Freddie. Instrument Queenie Kingpin -------------------------------------------------------- Drums Brian May Lead Guitar John Deacon Bass Guitar Roger Taylor Lead Vocals Freddie Mercury We hope we never have ANYTHING to do with this fic EVER AGAIN!!! | Who Wants To Live Forever |
| Ah, another Roger fic. This was rated PG-13 for overly excessive use of the D***, SH!T, and H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks words along with the never-ever-seen violence which was never written. In this "Deaky dandy", our fave cussin' blonde-haired May-niac (pun intended haha), Roger Taylor, has a terrible dream where he thinks Freddie is trying to kill him. Rog is startled when Freddie is the one who is there to comfort him from thinking about his unfortunate nightmare. The next morning, however, Freddie disappears mysteriously, and in the middle of a phone call from John Deacon, Roger disappears too, and a girl 28 years in the future gets the best birthday present EVER when Roger comes hurtling through a time portal. Soon, the girl (whose name is Kate) and Roger go on a quest to find the blonde drummer's home, and they realize that Roger caused a freeze in time that turned him immortal (hence the name, Who Wants to Live Forever). In the never-written chapters: Kate and Roger soon run into an enraged superclone of Freddie Mercury, created by....Roger's future son, Felix Taylor. They soon destroy the crazed Freddie clone and come face to face with Roger's future self..."Go on...touch your future..." Kate said to Roger...Roger took the older man's hand, wondering if he was real. The 53-year-old Roger tags along with 25-year-old Roger and Kate as they continue their search for a time portal to July 25, 1974. They finally come across a huge castle-like mansion that the older Roger claims as his home. They go into the mansion and soon find the real Freddie, along with the younger Roger's other bandmates, John and Brian. Kate and the two Rogers free John and Brian and soon meet Felix, the creator of Roger's troubles. Kate, the older Roger, Freddie, John, and Brian stand amazed as the younger Roger and Felix duke it out in a fight to the death...and the ending...well, check back often to see if the Contest page is up.
