The pics are big, bad(my camera sux), and a couple good ones from the
front row!!!
HIP RADIO was in the house!!!
We scammed our way into the front row after being soaked in the parking
lot by the rain and by the vendors for the beer($6.00USD for a
beer?!?!?!?), thank god we drank a case of John Labatt Classic in the
car before the show. Not drunk, but happily hammered we made our way to
the front for the first support act, a rather good looking blonde named
Kate something and her band. Not bad at all.
Guster up next got things off slowly but ended their set with 2 or 3
pounding hot numbers, good stuff!
The Hip next, we're positioned against the front stage barrier with a
lot of girls pushing up against us. Good stuff!!! 8-)
Gordy was quite animated and really seemed to be signing his heart out
and enjoying himself as he "tightrope-walked" the monitors and nearly
bent the mike stand in half. The last list was great, hearing WHEAT
KINGS and EMPORER PENGUIN was a special treat indeed. The sound up
front was loud and clear but could have been turned up to "11" as far as
I am concerned.
I was singing my ass off and Gordie S and Robby were laughing at my
imitated animations of Gord D, great stuff!
The crowd was rather polite and unobnoxious, which is some feat with the
large concentration of drunken canadians at the show. I was proud of
the fans how well they seemingly behaved as a whole minus the few minor
incidents.
All in all it was what you should expect from a live Hip show: Fun,
frolic, and Great music played loudly.
Hey guys, how about dome more HOCKEY SONGS?!?!?!?
