Physical Description: Tall with a fairly solid build. Needs to workout and train the body again to be able to perform many of the physical tricks he use to know.
Personality: Gardic was a mischievious, loud, arrogant and somewhat of a bigoted Mage. He was much worse as a student though but through time, his irritating habits were beaten out of him. After wedding the only woman that could put up with him, he became more rational and calmer yet believed that woman should stay away from being Fire Mages. After being Mirror-Struck for a hundred years, he has become just sourly in his old age and is very impressed by his new..younger..body. He is loyal though to the original Mage decree and holds honor extremely important.
Likes: Enjoys flirting, dancing, fighting and performing as many first rites as possible.
Dislikes: The actions of the Dark Mages, the actions of the Kings Council. People afraid of Mages and the possibility that the High Council will dissolve again.
Fears: They will fail and be mirror-struck. He fears that he will become a Dark Mage in order not to be mirror struck again.
Brief History: Gardic was always a headstrong and mischievious boy and his parents ever despaired of his future when one day after his 14th birthday when he was picking a fight with another boy, his hands grew very warm and he burnt the other boy. His parents kept a watchful eye on him and when he discovered a strange lizard like marking on his shoulder, they knew he was meant for Silinis Isle. Packing him up, he boarded the Mage Ship and headed toward his future.
Even though he was headstrong, arrogant and and all around jerk, he grew steadily within his Talent. The teachers approved of his training and though he was punished many times, they never quite was able to tame him. His first rites were memorable but though he never knew who was his first, he suspected it was Mage Sistern of Air. He had always liked the older mage and was half in love with her. Yet, she always put him off. After he made Mage of Fire, he finally wore her down and gained her hand in marriage. This leveled him out somewhat and he stayed on to keep teaching and eventually was promoted to Helm of Fire. He was a third level Helm and was proud of his achievement.
One day though, Donivas, 1st Helm asked him to consider the possibility that the Kings Council were wrong and that their Spirit Helm was nothing but a weak vessel for the Kings. Gardric disagreed but did not do much at that time. He, along with other Helms and Mages, were aghast when Donivas succeeding in overthrowing their Spirit Helm and taking control of the Mage Isle. He fled the isle with other but lost his beloved Sistern during the fight and promptly went to the Kings Council to fight for them. The war raged but the people and Kings Council won, enslaving or killing the Dark Mages but hey turned upon those Mages that helped and ordered them to be Mirror Struck. Gardric agreed after his fellow Helms pleaded with him and they were Mirror Struck and trapped for over 100 years.
He was eventually released along with 3 other Helms and wears a new body. He is somewhat bitter at the Kings for their betrayel but is hopeful that they can rebuild Salinis Isle.
