General Appearance for this new body
Hair Color: Deep red brown
Hair Style: Cut relatively short and brushed swept back from his face.
Eyes: Brilliant green, often resembling a pair of set emeralds.
Physical Description: Torren's new body greatly resembles his original body in structure. Torren stands 5'6" with broad shoulders and heavily built limbs. The edges of the mage's body are hard and combined with the ashen gray tint of his skin, he looks very much like a living statue. A single tattoo marks his left shoulder in the appearance of a crack or fissure.

Personality: Passionate, stubborn, and deep thinking are Torren's strongest traits. Though the mage feels deeply, he is most often unwilling to act without extensive thought upon the consequences and outcomes. Many times people mistake this and take him for being slow, however, when Torren acts it is with his full force and conviction and rare will anything or anyone be able to move him from a path once taken. He takes great pride in teaching but prefers to take a very frontal approach in his methods. If he percieves a student is struggling in some area of their studies, Torren will place direct pressure on that student to perform the task necessary of them. Many times students may crack under the mage's tutelage but Torren believes the greatest results are achieved by overcoming unlikely odds and aiming high in your goals. He is not callous to those who fail, however, and he will encourage them, albeit agressively, to try again until they find success. Torren is friendly and makes acquintances easily, however, true friendship and closeness are difficult to earn with the mage but steadfast and true once done so.
Likes: Rain, peace, animals, working with his hands, music, buidling, gardening, teaching, philosophy, and silence.
Dislikes: Intolerance and ignorance, stupidity, loud obnoxious noise, laziness, and excessive heat.
Fears: Torren despises heights. If he is planted on solid ground or a well constructed building, he is fine, but he absolutely refuses to fly in any way. Torren failure of the mages and the world's betrayal on the magick touched again.

Brief History: Torren was the only child to an architect and a baker woman. He spent most on his childhood either working dough or playing in mortar. He spent a great deal of time at the building sites of his father's buildings, watching them form timber by timber, stone by stone. When he began to get older, Torren started helping with the construction of his father's buildings, hauling mortar in buckets or sanding finished beams of wood. Anything he could to get in on the work. One day, while at the site of a massive public building his father had been commissioned to building. A section of scaffolding collapsed and knocked loose a temporary support beam that was holding up a section of the building's ceiling. The ceiling gave way and crumbled inward. Torren was beneath the falling ceiling, along with several of the other workers. Giving a scream the boy raised his arms in an attempt to futilely shield against the falling rubble. Just as they were all about to be crushed, the massive stone slab split apart and then crumbled into harmly pebbles. The workers were overjoyed but Torren suddenly felt quite exhausted and passed out on the spot. Everyone in the town had wondered how the miracle had occurred. But it soon became apparent. As the days after the accident passed, Torren's skin began to look pale, then gray, and a tattoo formed on his shoulder resembling a crack in stone. Torren's parents finally admitted to themselves that their boy had the touch and they sent him off to train with the mages.
Torren was forlorn, at first, for leaving his parents but as he began to get into his studies in magick his loneliness was eased. He proved a great student, excelling and advancing at his own steady pace. Some time after Torren had reached the rank of a Helm of Earth, Donivas came to him, as he did many of the high ranking mages, and tried to convince him to overthrow the Spirit Helm. Torren disagreed, thinking Donivas a rash, greedy, fool. When the revolt came Torren banded with the mages still loyal to tradition and fought against Donivas and his followers. Torren's focus during the fighting was on defense but when the Kings turned their victorious but traitorous eyes on the mages their was nothing the mage could do to save he and his kin.
Torren was mirror struck along with his fellow Helms and remained so for 100 years. Though he was not fond of being imprisoned, Torren did find a measure of peace was his soul was trapped. Torren spent his solitude much as he did when he had a body to roam, simply thinking. Finally, because of ominous portents, the Kings allowed the Helms to be released and Torren was given a new body for his soul to occupy and freedom has refreshed the mage anew. Now he is rejoined with his fellow Helms, Gardric, Sharyn, and Marianath on the island of Salinis to rebuild the schools of magick which they lost in treachery.

Bond Information:
Name: Rock
Type: Land Tortoise
Appearance: Rock is a tan brown land tortoise with a broad, block shaped head, large all black eyes, a shell about three feet in diamater, and a short stubby tail. Though his shell is naturally a dark brown color sometimes it is painted in bright colors and patterns, or even small murals.
Personality: Slow moving and ever calm, Rock accompanies Torren almost everywhere. Rock loves attention and often times Torren will allow students to paint the tortoise's shell, however, Rock is a die hard coward and will retreat into his shell if threatened in any way. Rock is also accustom to carry small packs ontop of his shell. Most times these packs include books or plans of Torrens, which he carries with him as he follows the mage throughout his day.
