Eyes: A pale violet, like amethysts Physical Description: Yoanna has the young toned body of a teenage girl who grew up wandering the plains.  She’s still thin despite her athletic build, stands about 5’3” and she’ll often be seen wearing the rough leather clothing of her tribe with as many rings and beads she can get away with. Her skin is a dark sienna brown as well. Personality: She has a spark of mischief in her but she’s more calm then anything.  She’s able to throw herself into her studies and demands complete concentration when studying anything, be it further training in staff fighting or writing and reading, which she’s severely lacking in as her tribe is an oral one.  She has a simple nature that comes from growing up in an open society and she has a determination to be admired although often that determination is to prove that she’s not so different from everyone else. She doesn’t like staying in one place for long and will often be caught wandering outdoors or in the hallways, just for a change of scenery. Likes:  The feeling of being accepted, horses, open air, nature, girls (not like that, just because of her female-based society) Dislikes: Being cooped indoors, any animal being mistreated Fears: Never returning home to see her mother and sisters Brief History:  Yoanna grew up in the Sh’last Tribe, young, free and untamed as the wind.  Her and her three sisters were very close although quite far apart.  Her father died shortly after her birth so she never met him, although according to her mother all he was a “fool” and a “dreamer.”  Not dwelling on him for long, Yoanna drew herself into the horse care and staff fighting her tribe specialized in.  She was the only female in her family that possessed a calm nature and not the fiery tempers they were known for.  Recently one of the horses in the tribe fell sick and no one for the life of them could figure out why.  They were going to leave the Old One to die, until Yoanna, through some sort of “urge” realized that the poor horse was pregnant in her old age.  However, the foal was so small and undetectable that no one believed her until she stayed up all night and delivered it herself.  The noticeable change in the morning showed her brown eyes glowing violet.  Quickly seen as “gifted” Yoanna was forced to leave the tribe and hurried to Bomoth to board a ship to Salinis Isle-Mage Island, where finally instead of living in hiding, her gift could be nurtured, brining much good fortune of Sh’last.
