Jupiter promised the Romans that they would have Imperium Sine Fine, empire without end. But they lost their chance. Some say in the Teutoberg Forest of Germany. Others say the ability to rule the world fell with the ascension of Christianity. Either way, the Romans did not accept the gift of the gods. But had they done one or two things just a little bit differently, perhaps the world would look much different. Welcome to Roma Invicta, Rome...the Eternal.

Romulus shall call
That people "Romans," after his own name.
I set no limits to their fortune and
No time; I give them empire without end.
-Jupiter, in Virgil's Aeneid 1:2766-279
