We have found that many different species of pheasants can be kept together both during and after the breeding season. This includes various age groups, but the thing to remember is to monitor your birds often and look for signs of aggression. Also be aware that some birds can be dominant and can keep others away from food and water. The Himalayan Monals have never had a problem sharing their space with other species. We have had Swinhoes and the Chrysolophus together and they have done extremely well. So it's both a learning experience and an education watching your birds co-exist. Roman & Roman |
