Course Description
This one-year course provides an overview of the expanding field of Computer Maintenance and Repair, entry level training, upgrading skills, and a solid basis for more advanced training.  Students will learn the basics of computer architectures, operating systems, applications programs, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of modern computers. In a lab of Pentium computers, students will learn software and memory management, the identification, function, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of common computer components.  
A section of the course will also be devoted to covering peer to peer and server based networks with an emphasis on the Internet and Novell Networks. The course includes actual experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of computers throughout the school campus.
