This is my precious BB, a Moluccan Cockatoo.  When we first got him, from a bad situation, we couldn't even touch him, and he was terrified of men.  Now he loves his *Papa* to pieces and says *Hello* and *I love you* in the sweetest little voice.
~~My Feathered Kids~~
These lovelies are Miranda and Nacho.  Miranda was my daughter's bird and Nacho (left) is ours.  They are Miligold Macaws, which is a cross between a Blue and Gold Macaw and a Military Macaw.  This is NOT a good thing to do, but since they are here, they deserve love just as much as any other bird.
Nacho is the talker in our house....she has quite a vocabulary, including telling anyone at the door to *Come In*.
To the left are Dixie, a Goffins Cockatoo, and PipSqueek, a Nanday Conure.  They are best buddies, but don't share a cage.  None of my birds do.  To the right is Dixie, posing for her portrait.
This is Shani, a Timneh African Grey, with Dixie.  Timnehs are smaller than the more familiar Congos, and have a more maroon tail instead of the brilliant red of a Congo.  Shani and Dixie tolerate each other.
I just couldn't resist another picture of my BB, this time posing for his portrait.
And this is Ringo, a Red Lored Amazon.  He is totally in love with my husband and attacks me through the cage bars.
Rondarosa Rainbows
This is Bobby, our newest family member.  He is a Medium Sulpher Crested Cockatoo, and is a love.  He is living here until his Dad can reclaim him.  He has a very different personality from the other cockatoos....more independent.
Just couldn't resist adding a picture of BB and Dixie together.  You'll notice from the pictures on this page that Dixie, the little goofy, gets along with everyone.
Ringo and I have actually become almost friends,  and he even tolerates a tickle from me now and then, as long as his Dad isn't in the room.
In all fairness I have to say that neither Shani nor Dixie look like this any more....both have become feather chewers.  Shani hasn't had a tail for a number of years and now Dixie has decided she doesn't want to have any feathers.  Both have been vet checked appear to be perfectly healthy and happy, though.
This is Dixie today....notice she is trying to appear anonymous
