Kerre and I at the Fred Victor Centre

Updated on April 27/2009

Hi, welcome to my rebuilt home page. Kerre and I are back. Yes, I'm back in Geocities again. I've come home. I decided that the other web page provider I was with wasn't worth the trouble I was having, so I came back. I will endevour to keep this page up-to-date so I don't lose this one too. This page will contain many of the same elements as the last page with a few surprises. If you want to talk to me, just

For those of you who don't know me, I am a former homeless person who is now an activist for poor and homeless people. My husband, Kerre, and I were homeless in 1987 in Toronto. In fact, we became homeless on March 15/1987. We came off the streets in June of 1989. You can read our story here. I work with the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty, (OCAP) and the Toronto Disaster Relief Committee, (TDRC). I am also a writer, an award-winning poet, a columinst, a cross-dresser, a wife, a pet owner,(one cat), and a first-time novelist with Kerre.

My interests are many. They include drumming, percussion, Jug music, dancing, Swamperella , computer, the Internet, computer games, cooking, baking, watching TV, old cars, steam trains, old ships, sci-fi, (Star Trek), and visiting with friends.

Webmaster's Notes: Urgent!!!

Geocities is closing later this year and they will have no more free website space. This means that I will either have to move this site or start paying for it, which I really don't want to do, especially considering I have multiple websites. I will be getting more information later on in the summer, I'll share it wih you when I get it.

Just so we don't forget, (How could we?) the damage that Mike Harris has done,I have written an article called Harris' Nightmare Legacy.

Join TDRC for our monthly Homeless Memorial Vigil on Tuesday, April 8/2008 at 12:00 noon as we remember the homeless who have died on the cold streets of Toronto. The vigil will be held at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto which is behind the Eaton's Centre. It will be followed by a light lunch.
