Frank C. Maddox and Susan E. Twibell Maddox were the parents of these children:


1) Grace Arland Maddox- Born January 9, 1883 in Montpelier, Indiana. Was the first librarian in Montpelier, Indiana. She never married.  From a bound volume, Blackford County in the World War, 1925: "Miss Grace Maddox of Montpelier became a representative for Lyceum and Chautauqua bureaus, which position she resigned to enter war work in September 1918. She was sent to New York and received instructions at Columbia University. She then sailed with 108 other girls from Montreal, Canada, under the auspices of the Y.M.C.A. for England. After listening to an address by Lady Douglas (daughter of Whitelaw Reid) she volunteered for service in Ireland and remained there until the station was "washed out." From there her work was at Cardiff, Wales. The work was social work and regular canteen service, returning to the U.S. September, 1919. She afterward taught in China and did much Navy Y work in Shanghai and Chefoo." Res. in 1929, 731 S. Sycamore Ave., Los Angeles, California. Employed in May Co. Store. Died in Los Angeles on December 11, 1967 at the age of 84 yrs.

2) Blanche Violet Maddox- Born in Montpelier. Married Guy P. Greenwald October 28, 1908 by G.H. Myers. Guy was born in Salem, Nebraska to William Greenwald- born in Allentown, Pa and Phoebe Gist- Born in Kentucky.

3) Pearley A. Maddox 1879-1880  buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier, Indiana

4) Guy M. Maddox 1882-1882  buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier, Indiana

5) Cliffie O. Maddox 1891-1891  buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in Montpelier, Indiana

MADDOX FAMILY HISTORY
Frank C. Maddox was born in 1855 in Montpelier, Indiana. He died in 1891.
He married
Susan E.Twibell- b)  January 29, 1862 in Wells County, Indiana- daughter of John Twibell of Virginia and Amelia Boyd of Ohio.
Susan died April 6, 1943 at the home of her daughter in Los Angeles, California. The service was held at the Sol Rea residence in Montpelier.
