Margaret (Peggy) Mattox was born in 1775 in Bedford County Virginia.
She died about 1842 in Callaway Co., Missouri.

She was married to Jordan Kemp on December 1, 1795 in Franklin County, Virginia.
Jordan Kemp was born about 1769 in Virginia to John Kemp and Mary (Polly) Craighead.
Jordan Kemp died September 20, 1844 in Callaway County, Missouri. Buried same. He was a farmer.
Margaret (Peggy) Mattox and Jordan Kemp Jr had the following children:


1) Michael Kemp- born circa 1800-1805 in Franklin County, Va. Died circa 1847 in Callaway Co. Missouri. Married Nancy (?) Kemp. One son. William T. Kemp.
2) David V. Kemp- married Nancy A. (?) Children were: Margaret Elizabeth, Sarah Lillis, Martha Ann, William David, John Jordan. Mary Susan, Andrew Jackson.
3) Nathan Kemp- married Judith C. Dickerson. Children were: Sallie Frances, Mary Catherine,  Nancy Margaret.
4) Prudence Kemp- married Isaac DeHaven. One son: Isaac DeHaven Jr.
5) Robert M. Kemp
6) George W. Kemp
