Know ye that I Sarah Kemp of the County of Callaway and State of Missouri being of sound mind and disposing memory but ----- and infirm in body and knowing the uncertainty of life do make and ordain this my last will and testament, Viz First I will that all my just debts are to be paid, I will to my four brothers that are living to wit Michael Mattox, Gabriel Mattox, David Mattox, Wesley Mattox One dollar each to my sister that is living Rebecca Bowling one dollar to the heirs of my sister Margaret Kemp (who is now dead) one dollar being the sum I should have willed to her if she had been living and I will all the residue of my property both Real and personal to John W. Kemp of the County of Callaway and State of Missouri who I have raised and for his kindness and affection to me as will as his being the son of my Deceased brother, John Mattox by Dursilla Kemp a daughter of my Dec'd husband I devise to him all my property as aforesaid after the payment of my just debts and the specified legacies to my brothers and sisters aforesaid. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this twenty fifth day of September Eighteen hundred and forty one.
