Bicycling Around the Country |
||||||||||||
I enjoy getting out on my mountain bike and getting the exercise that it provides. On May 22, 2000 I participated in The Trans Canada Trail Relay. I relayed a small bottle of Arctic Ocean water over a 10 km portion of the Trans Canada Trail near North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The Trans Canada Trail is over 16 000 km in length and links the Arctic, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. No, this is not a picture of me and my bike, but it is a great picture! |

During 2000 I put over 1 500 kilometres on my bicycle. I would have put more on, but I crashed my bicycle in the relay and ended up with cracked ribs. That was the first time I had had a bicycle accident in about 40 years! |
