Golden eagles are not white and black like bald eagles.  They're golden brown.  That's how they got their name.
		The golden eagle lives in Europe,  Asia , North Africa and North America.  Eagles first breed when they are about 5 years old.  A golden eagle eats rabbits, squirrels, young deer and lambs.  A golden eagle is called a war eagle.  Eagles have been killed in California,Colorado, Wyoming and   Texas  by sheep ranchers.  Golden eagles migrate (fly)  south to spend the  winter in the south western United States and Mexico. Golden eagles are still being killed illegally - without permission.  Thousands of eagles have been shot from airplanes by hired people.   They live to be 20 to 30 or even 50 years old, if people leave them alone.
