Random Notes.

- Joel Plaskett Emergency was surprisingly entertaining at the horseshoe this past Saturday and I did enjoy that double encore.

- Two albums everyone should go out and buy and or download this month: The Academy Is... - "almost here" and Gym Class Heroes - "the papercut chronicles". Both fucking incredible with the former establishing itself to me as an album that will never get old and will join the ranks of Saves the Day's "through being cool" and Fall Out Boy's "take this to your grave" repeatability. While the latter showcases the “good” in rap music...rap music? Yeah I know just give gym class a chance it will surprise you as it did me.

Things i Hate: Volume IV

- Kids who have a considerable amount of walking experience yet are still pushed around in a fucking stroller.
- People who put their iPods and or CD players at a considerably high volume so that the person sitting next to them, better yet anybody in a 10 feet radius is able to near the latest 50 Cent track. I can deal with people playing "good" music, but fucking 50 Cent and the other “bling bling money aint a thang” class of rap...What the Fuck!
- Snow and the cold it brings with it.
- The former Sex pot turned poster child of white trash: Britney Spears.
- Not having money to buy comics.
- Being so lazy that I cannot even fucking finish the 2004 year-end review.
- Waiting two weeks for the "Donnie Darko" directors cut.
- Bus drivers and their inability to be on time.
- The daily patrons of Union Station.
- Mayonnaise
- Waiting another week for the next new episode of "Lost".
- Not being able to scan a dozen images of the most gorgeous looking babes in the world into my "Create the Perfect Woman Machine 3000" (CPWM3000) and anxiously wait for a thunder storm to hit my house. Where it would then transfer its energy into my machine and magically bring my perfect women to life to which I would name her Lisa as played by Kelly LeBrock.
- Applying to University and all the shit they make you go through.
- “The Wonder Years” not being released on DVD.
- Not being able to go to the Sundance Film Festival and watch the movie "Brick".
- The Oscars and the stupid choices they made for this years crop of nominations.
- Ben Affleck because he's fucking Jennifer Garner.
- Your Dad because he's fucking your Mom.

"I'll find it, but I won't kill it. Now, what about my dynamite?"

So, I think it’s about time I get back into my bloging habits and talk endlessly about my life or lack thereof. I know I’m suppose to be finishing up a conglomerate of updates that consist of the long over due year-in-review, various movie reviews, a feverish tale about an entity simply known as the Big Salad, and basic site maintenance, but frankly I’m a lazy bastard. I do attest that at least in the coming days some of the shit just mentioned will make there way to this lovely little site of mine.

Now to the life that is me which if filled with utter disappointment and dozens of still-to-read comic books. Today I had some interaction with Evaleen (aka the girl I’ve been pining over) to where we had showcased pleasant exchanges. Nothing big except for the fact that I did have an opportunity to hitch a ride to school with her tomorrow, but with me being slow and not processing this information I declined the offer and while exiting the class I found myself smacking my head and doing a Chris Farley impression. Someday it’ll happen and she will be mine. I hope she's not reading this cause I think she'll find this creepy or if she is reading this and all my pervious blog entries that pertain to her she'll find it to be cute, but with my luck it'll lean more towards the former.

I've been currently reading Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men in trade paper back form and let me tell you it’s quite the read. Though, I’m still orgasmicly fond of Whedon's current run on Astonishing its good to gather up some background to a title that I’ve missed the first time around. Also I just recently finished reading the Preacher series and it’s fucking spectacular. Ennis is a God and a terrific storyteller and if they ever make a movie to this comic it’ll certainly put every comic book movie ever produced to the back burner because it’s that damn good. Ita also good to note that the up-coming Constantine flick staring the cat who immortalized the word 'Whoa!' is heavily based on Ennis' work on the Hellbalzer title. Yeah I know none of you are interested in my comic book banter, but hey if you didn't know its considered cool now to read comics thanks in part to the spider-man flicks and the iconic character known as Seth Cohen. I now can walk the streets with my head raised high with comic book in hand and no longer need to feel like an outsider that is until a thugged out white kid and or a juiced-up jock pushes me to the ground and makes fun of my black framed glasses and the latest issue of the New Avengers. I'm not really defending myself cause thanks to the new glasses I certainly look the part of your typically nerd.

Anyways I think that's enough of an entry. I got to wake up at 5am tomorrow for school and its two hour travel time for an early ass class (hey that rhymes aren't I special). Currently watching the Daily Show, Corddry is doing a piece about a dude who has a big head, funny stuff. And for my obligatory Natalie Portman mention I would just like to congratulate her on the golden globe win as it was truly deserved for a worldly performance in a breathtaking flick and to also say your fucking hot Miss Portman, fucking hot.

"This isn't funny, Charles! If I don't have a dream, I have nothing!"

I am once again at odds with the force simply known as father time. My schedule for school this semester fucking sucks as it has me up no later than 5am, four days a week, and challenges my lazy-ass to muster up the strength to actually make an attempt to get ready and also to make sure I’m actually wearing clothes. Due to this 5am wake up call and my inability to sleep early the number of hours I spend in the wonderful facet of the dream world is 4 and that number isn’t a good one to fully enjoy a dream cause for the past two days they've ended at the best parts....like the one I had this morning where it began with myself, swimsuit model Melissa Keller, actress Krista Allen, and this business savvy Monkey named Tobias enjoying rousing games of both 'Trouble' and 'Sorry!'. Then at one point after Tobias’ constant bickering about his plans for the future and that how his business will become as known as Donald Trumps, I just simply had enough and verbally assaulted Tobias explaining in detail that in this cruel world of ours there is to be no monkey business, thus shattering his dream to little tiny pieces of rotten banana peals. Melissa and Krista got all hot and weak in the kness by my strong stance and gave off signals that suggested that they were very very horny. Right then we were just about to 'get it on' as the cool cats would say while Tobias pulled a ‘Brad Hamilton’. So, just when Keller and Allen where about to have there way with me when all of a sudden the alarm goes beeping and I go weeping....and that’s that.

Now, on a quick sidenote lots of shit will be added to the site soon specially the complete year-end review shit.

"Look at this - 'Dutch girls must be punished for having big boobs'. Now you do not punish a girl, Dutch or otherwise, for having big boobs."

Still working on the 'year-end' shit and it will be up very soon. Still editing my life aquatic review and it (along with others) will be up very soon. Still working on this 'big salad' piece I’ve been told to do which it too will be up very soon in all its big salad glory.

Why is it taking so long for me do all this shit given that I have this week off? First off I had myself an Alias: Season 3 marathon so that I could get myself caught up before season four aired which was yesterday and might I add it was one hellva way to kick off a season. I’ll get into more detail as to why Alias is as better then ever in the coming days. I also have been getting caught up on my movie watching/downloading and still on my list to watch by weeks end - Casshern, Taegukgi, In Good Company. And still on my list to watch for the Xth time - Garden State, Primer, The Life Aquatic, Donnie Darko, and Eternal Sunshine. I've also been attempting to get back into my realm of - comic reading - to which I have taken a short hiatus on (currently half-way through book 1 of Grant Morrison's run on New X-Men, still anxiously awaiting issue 8 of Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men, and also gearing up to dive into both Alan Moore's V for Vendetta and some of Garth Ennis' work on Hellblazer). Intertwined within this conglomerate of super-extraordinary scenic base of utter nerdom is the complete series (+ the special) of what has become (in my mind) the most refreshing and entertaining television show to have been put in front of my eyes since 'The Wonder Years' in the form of British sitcom 'The Office' (so far I’m at episode 5 and I’m loving every minute of this damn show).

So, now I’m off to melt away in my haven of all things geek, my fortress of solitude, my army of teenage mutant ninja turtles action figures, my Rushmore.......you get the picture and yes I shall repeat it once again I am a nerd, but the good kind not the dressing up like your favorite character of Lord of the Rings and or Star Trek kind, more like the talk endlessly about Alan Moore’s Watchmen and why Natalie Portman should go out with me - Yeah that kind.

....this is my life and it’s ending one episode of ‘the office’ at a time
