Massive intro to the album & an indicator of the great things to follow- thundering riffs & drums are the highlight with a chorus to die for:
"Arise Arise seaman arise
And the waves cry softly
In their blood a spear is lodged
They bleed softly into the ocean...."
2) Meine Teile (My Part) 9/10
Wow!!! This is a stunning track musically, with some really creepy lyrics & vocals...remember that German guy who advertised on the internet for a volunteer to be eaten? "Looking for a well built 18 to 30 year old to be slaughtered". Well, this is the story!! "Today I will meet a gentleman, he likes me so much he could eat me up, soft parts & even hard ones are on the menu"
3) Dalai Lama 7/10
Not the best on the album but still a great sounding tune about the Dalai Lama (!) very original I must say...again with a very stirring chorus
4) Keine Lust (Don't Feel Like It) 9.5/10
Massive tune, one of the best on the album, thundering drums & some great singing from Till Lindemann
6) Amerika (America) 10/10
Fantastic! One of the best tunes I've heard in a long time & is a brilliant pass-take on America - something I have no complaints about! Brilliant lyrics
"Freedom is playing on all violins, music is coming out of the White House & Mickey Mouse is tanding in front of Paris" plus
"We'e all living in America Coca-Cola, Wonderbra, we're all living in America, America, America"
Brilliant stuff!!
7) Moskau (Moscow) 9/10
Another great tune - about a youth organization operated by the communist party in the USSR with some lovely sounding female backing vocals sung in Russian. Of course, it's as heavy as a ten ton hammer!!
8) Morgenstern (Morning Star) 8.5/10
Lovely tune with a great mixture of heaviness & heavenly choruses - cool
9) Stein Um Stein (Stone By Stone) 8/10
Very deceptive tune that starts very gently but soon builds into a powerhouse of a tune, with a great vocal performance & some brilliant guitar solo's. The song is about someone being buried alive in a stone coffin - charming!
10) Ohne Dich (Without You) 10/10
The title says it all - a beautiful ballad, with some very heartfelt lyrics-
"Without you I cannot be
Without you
With you I am alone too
Without you
Without you I count the hours without you
With you the seconds stand still
They aren't worth it"
Beautifully sung by Till - great tune
11) Amour 9/10
Another fairly gentle tune - mostly acoustic - by Rammsein's standards but it is brilliant all the same. It's about love, about how it keeps hurting you & no matter how hard you try it can't be tamed

Summary:
This is a brilliant Metal CD & has easily made it into my all-time top 10 metal albums. Okay, most of it is in German (Amerika being the exception), but give it a go, you won't regret it 'cos it's so brilliantly performed & has CLASS written all over it. Can't wait until 3rd Feb to see 'em live!
