GENERAL RULES

1. Contests are open to mini rod tractors with rubber tires.No four wheel drives  allowed.  No dual tire, studs or chains permitted.

2. Driver will operate his/her tractor in a safe manner ahd at suth speed as to be in full  control at all times.Any outside help other than for safety reasons or reckless driving will be  grounds for disqualification.No outside coaching to driver while pulling.

3. Any consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs on the track or pit area during the contest will be grounds for disqualification.

4. No smoking while driving tractor.

5. Driver must remain in the seat during the pull and have complete control of the tractor at all times with foot within easy reach of the brake or cluth and have one hand on the steering wheel at all times. Feet must remain on foot pedal or foot plates.

6. All pulls must start with a tight hitch, no jerking of sled permitted.

7. All tractors must have working brakes.

8. All weights must be secured safely to the tractor. Loss of any part of the tractor or  weights while hooked to the sled will result in disqualification. No weights will be placed in the seat or on the hood . Weights must not extend more than 6 inches on either side of the rear tires.

9.The tractor must remain within the boundaries of the tract during the pull or will be disqualified. If a tractor goes out of bounds in a pull- off, the tractor will recive last place of the pull- off tractor.

10. All exhausts must be discharged vertically and extend at least 12" above the exhaust port unless a stock muffler is used.

11. Draw bars must be stationary and all vertical movement.  Maximum draw bar height shall be no higher than 13" from the ground.  Draw bar hook point must have at least a 2-1/2" diameter hole and a 1/2" plate.

12. A working kill switch must be attached to the rear of the tractor ( behind the driver) in such a position that it can be easily hooked to the sled and will not interfere with the weights.  The switch must be fitted with a ring with a minimum of 1" in diameter.

13. All drive shafts, drive pulleys, belts and chains must have safety sheilds of 1/8" steel or equalivent.

14. Weights on the tractor can be moved until the tractor is hooked to the sled or repull.

15. No portion of any tractor including weights and weight brackets may exceed 8 feet in length and 6 feet in width.  Wheelie bars or skid plates excluded.

16. A 40' false start line will be used on 200' or less tracks, otherwise a 75 foot false start line will be used.

17. Maximum of one pull per tractor per weight class. 

18.  All entries must be excepted 30 minutes before the event has started.  Late entries will be in scratch position.

19.  Number 1 puller in each weight class will be the test puller and may take a repull if stated before unhooked from sled.  If repull is stated, the repull will be the number 3 puller or last puller and must take the 2nd repull as their pulling distance.

20.  It is mandatory that all tractors have an adequate device to prevent the tractor from tipping over.  Tractor must have one of two devices; either skid plates or wheelie bars.  They should measure no more than 6" above ground and must be able to support the weight of the tractor.

21.  All pullers will be weighed prior to each pull in each class.  Tractors total weight must include: tractor, weights, driver and fuel.

22. There will be a drivers meeting 15 minuted prior to pull time.

23. Fire extinguishers must be mounted on all tractors.  Extinguishers must be charged.

24. Helmets are required on all drivers.  Fire suits required on all tractor classes.

25. All tractors must be in neutral or park while being hooked to the sled with both hands readily visible to flagman.

26. Maximum time between pulls will be 3 minutes.  A mechanical breakdown will be moved to last place in class.  A scratch will be allowed for obvious mechanical breakdowns.

27. If the first two pullers make a full pull, the sled will be reweighed. 

28. Minimum age:  16, unless approved by club.

29. Seat backs must be a minimum of 3" in height.

30. Entry fee of $10.00 per class hook.  Membership fee is $25.00 per person, an additional family member $15.00 per year.
