ROSARY FAMILY of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
A good prayer life can be a joy in happy times and a remedy and consolation in times of sorrow.

How then should we pray? When we simply repeat the name of Jesus and Mary several times with respect we are praying. There may be points in our life when this is the only prayer we are capable of at the time. No matter who we are, sometimes, our minds may be so full of many emotions that we can only repeat the names of Jesus and Mary. If we can do that, what a treasure we possess. The very names of Jesus and Mary are a treasure beyond any worldly possession.

The message of Our Lady of Fatima is essentially a message of prayer, penance, and sacrifice. The daily recitation of the Rosary is a wonderful form of prayer. During the Rosary, we meditate on various mysteries, or points in the life of Jesus. The recitation of the Rosary is a treasure that everyone can share. It is only after the Rosary is made a daily part of your life that you realize how powerful it is.

To those who are not Catholic, we want you to know that we respect all religions. You do not have to be Catholic to pray the Rosary, anyone can do it. The Rosary can be said anywhere, some people keep a rosary in their pocket or under their pillow. We honor the Lady who gave birth to Jesus, who asked Him to perform His first public miracle by changing water into wine, and who held Him in Her arms after He was taken down from the cross. Jesus loves us even when we are sinners and wants us to love and respect other people. He could not help to be pleased when we honor both Himself and His Mother.

Most of the Rosary was given to us directly from the Bible. All of the mysteries which we meditate upon have corresponding biblical quotes, click here

The prayer the Our Father was given to us by Jesus in Matthew 6:9-15. Two thirds of the Hail Mary are found in Luke 1:28, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you!" and Luke 1:42, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb!"

In the remaining one third of the Hail Mary we ask Mary, the Mother of God, to pray for us, just as we ask other people on earth to pray for us and we also can pray for them. So much more so should we ask the Mother of God, who is close to God in Heaven, to pray for us.
"Through the Rosary the faithful receive abundant grace, as though from the very hands of the Mother of the Redeemer."
-Pope John Paul II,
Rosarium Virginis Mariae
