Based on Simon Morgenstern's classical novel, William Goldman's screenplay brings to life such wonderful characters as Westley (Cary Elwes), Inigo Montoya (Mandy Patinkin), Prince Humberdinck (Chris Sarandon), Count Rugen (Christopher Guest), Fezzik (André the Giant), Vizzini (Wallace Shawn), and, of course, Buttercup (Robin Wright). Directed by Rob Reiner, "The Princess Bride" (1987) is a romantic adventure comic fantasy and a cult classic film sure to be fun for the whole family. From dodging R.O.U.S.es and lightning sand in the Fire Swamp to taking chocolate-coated resurrection pills in order save the princess from "mawwying" the evil Prince, "The Princess Bride" is the history of Florin as you've never seen it before!!! |
