| Meschers is a well-known holiday resort, popular with French families. The town centre is only five minutes walk away, from both Rose Mousse and Rose Tremiere, with a good sized supermarket, all commerce - bakers, banks, post office etc, bars, restaurants and takeaways. There is a daily market, with fresh fish, fruit and veg and local produce, such as oysters, Charentaise melons, goats cheeses etc. Of course there are plenty of opportunities for wine tastings, both at stalls, and producer's vineyards. The Tourist Office is in the town centre and has loads of local information, including a seasonal programme of events - everything from Punch and Judy (Guinol) on the beach to concerts and fireworks. There is also lots of up-to-date tourist information at the house. Meschers hosts a lively night market once a week in the summer. |
| Rose Mousse is a lovely 5 bed-roomed villa, sleeping 10, plus cot, at under FIVE MINUTES stroll from the beautiful sandy BEACHES of South West France . Or Rose Tremiere, ideal for 4, at five minutes walk from Rose Mousse. Ideally situated for everybody! An easy walk to beaches, markets, shops, bars and restaurants - over 20 at easy walking distance.. Everything you need is at hand, leave the car at the house, and enjoy the pleasures of Meschers by foot. Even teenage guests have been impressed!!! With the sandy beach at the bottom of the road there are no long, hot car journeys, or parking hassles here! Enjoy the beach as and when you want, ideal in the mornings or later afternoon with younger children. There is a summer supervised 'kid's club' on the beach, with trampolines, pool, games etc. You will find two restaurants/bars with beach terraces, perfect for enjoying a drink, lunch or evening meal. Both have music, often live, so you can relax whilst the children play on the beach within easy surveillance of your table. Whatever the age of your children they should find something to amuse themselves. And of course, other areas of interest are easily accessible by car - Chic La Rochelle, Cognac Distillaries, Bordeaux vineyards, Romanesque Saintes, Belle Epoch Royan and more. |

| Rose Tremiere is a two bedroomed, single storey house. Totally re-furbished in 2005, there is one double and one twin bedroom. The open plan living area is bright and sunny with a well equiped corner kitchen, tv/dvd/video only, books, sofa bed and wood burning stove. The bathroom has a great power/jet shower cabinet. There is a second toilet. The small garden has lots of flowers, shade, tables and chairs and bbq. Parking is outside on the road or in the garage (with washing machine). Ideal for one, two coulples or a family of four, cot and high chair available. Easy walk to town centre, beaches, market, restaurants. |
