The money would have been used to eisenhower high school build a new elementary school in Three Oaks and upgrade the middle school and monte vista high school high school. This sierra school of real estate was the third time voters rejected the proposal.
"I was afraid this one wouldn't pass," said parent Shelley Zeiger.
But Zeiger had her fingers crossed. She has three children enrolled in the River Valley School District. She says there's no doubt the buildings need to be fixed up.
"You know, the teachers are doing a great job with what they have. But we could do so much more," she said.
The district's two elementary schools are more than 50 years old. School officials say the electrical and heating systems need to be upgraded.
"They're using radiant heat in these rooms. They aren't using an air handling system to move air and get fresh air into the rooms on a regular basis. So it driving school in sacramento gets stale and people get drowsy and it's not the greatest of environments for education,” said school bypass proxy River Valley School Board President William centennial middle school Farhat.
But once again, voters rejected a proposal to fix the problems. The plan also charter school zoning california included building a new elementary school in Three Oaks. Officials think many people voted it down because of the school's proposed location.
"The size of our district is 90 square miles. We're a rural district. It's very difficult for us to address all the needs evenly because geographically the district is in the middle of the country,” said Farhat.
Schools officials plan to continue their fight to make improvements. And parents like Zeiger say they will too.
"I'm hoping we'll try again. But we're certainly colorado high school hockey loyal to the school district. I don't think it does the kids any good or anybody else any good to jump ship because things aren't school nursing going the way you want them too. It's better to stay and stay involved and see if we can help in other ways," said Zeiger.
School officials want to build the new elementary school in Three Oaks for a couple reasons. First, one of the elementary schools is already there. Second, Three Oaks is an organized village and the property is deed restricted. That means it has to be used as a school or some other public building.

"Three Oaks is tunkhannok school district an organized village and the property is deed restricted. That means it has to be used as a school or some other public building." This is the main reason the millage was voted down. To put the school and one end of the district is not fair to the rest of the district. I believe the money is in line (which was a issue in the last two hobbs school bonds) now it is time to build a school more centeral, which the High School property is about a fair as they are going to get!

Fix up what you have. It is much less expensive to remodel what you have than it is to build from scratch.

I love River Valley and wish the community the best, as this will be a tough road ahead. My aunt worked in the school district for over 30 years, and I would attend events with her - everything from sports to musicals.
