Ron Rose-He would try to tell you that he doesn’t contribute much, but as a retired farmer, engineer, businessman, and co-founder of the team, no one works harder for the success of Endangered Species/Rose Pulling Team and the promotion of the sport of tractor pulling. Ron is involved in all the team’s engineering projects, engines and hitch designs, and takes care of all the finer details the rest of us might miss. He is greatly respected by all his team members and competitors as an icon in the sport. If he’s pulling in your class, he will be one of the key drivers to beat. For 2007, he won more pulls than he lost. He was the points leader in two classes, and the points winner of the 5,000lb Super Farm Stock Class with the Bluegrass Antique Pullers Association. He also placed second in 2007 for the 4,500lb Super Farm Stock King of the Hill Class with USAP in Princeton Indiana. In 2008 Ron was the points champion for the 5000 Super Farm Stock Class with both the Central Kentucky Antique Pullers and the Salt River Antique Power Association. Ron typically pulls his tractor in Super Farm Stock classes from 4,000-5,500lbs. He is supported by his wife, his two sons and daughter-in-laws, and his two grandsons and granddaughters. |
