The minute I set my laptop on the Road Tools Podium CoolPad, I was in love! Now I wonder how I ever lived
without it. Well, I’m never going to again.
No matter where I am using my laptop, whether it’s at the
kitchen table or on my lap with my bean bag lap table, the bottom always gets
way too hot and very quickly. The tables also got very hot as well. Almost too hot to touch. What’s that doing to the surface of
the table? And more important, what’s it doing to the laptop components? It
can’t be good. I tried propping the laptop up on little band aid boxes. You can
imagine how well that worked! It’s a wonder something didn’t break when the
laptop slide off the boxes.
The Podium CoolPad lets you
adjust the incline of your keyboard by ½” increments from 1.25” to 2.25”. This
gives you the most comfortable options depending on what type of surface and at
what level you place your laptop. It also pivots 360 degrees. This allows for
easy viewing of presentations or 2 or more person game playing. The base has
rubber feet so it’s safe to use on any surface. You don’t have to worry about
scratching your tables.
The Traveler CoolPad is perfect
for the person who is always on the go with their laptop. Whenever my family
travels, I always bring the laptop along. This is a great diversion for the
kids on long drives. They watch movies or play games. With the CoolPad, their laps no longer get hot and it’s more comfortable
to hold. The pad makes it a lot easier to take turns playing games because it
too pivots 360 degrees. Its small size makes it convenient for fitting into any
carrying case.
By lifting your laptop at an angle, both pads keep it
running much, much cooler. The air has a chance to circulate and therefore,
keeps the bottom from overheating. After hours of having my laptop on, I touch
the bottom and it feels only slightly warm. Before I started using the CoolPad, it took no time at all to get very hot to the
touch. I like to do maintenance work, such as defrag, at night when the
computer is not in use. I was always hesitant about leaving it on that long. I
was afraid of it over heating and burning up the processor. I don’t worry about
that any longer.
The rubber grips keep your laptop secure. There are no
attachments to worry about. Just set your laptop on and it stays put. The best
part is the pads are guaranteed for life. If they get damaged or break, they’ll
replace or fix them.
Any one who owns a laptop should really have one or both
of these pads. I believe they will prolong the life of your computer. Nothing
but good things can happen if you are circulating the air around the bottom of
your laptop. You can purchase both at a bundle rate of $39.95 or individually
at $29.99 for the Podium and $19.99 for the Traveler.
