"Kyle…there may be something really wrong going on here that I wish wasn't happening…but, I have your word that this girl is in trouble and I can't let that go over my head.  I am sure as Hell going to help her out of whatever mess she might be in.  But after that, you and Maria sure as Hell are going to tell me what is going on here that I don't like the smell of so much."

Kyle understood his place.  Lucky Amy wasn't home.  Whatever was going on, at least Sherrif Jim Valenti was honourable, a man of his word and a man of the law, who understood the meaning of the word 'protect'.  Isabelle sat and calmed down for a while, getting her wits back about herself.  She then used a pen to circle the picture of the man in the missing persons advertisement who she dreamwalked.  She passed the newspaper to Jim.

"I need to know where he is."

"I'll go to the station right now and do my best, I promise."  He turned and head towards the door.

"Wait!  No matter who you see or think you see, don't say a word to anyone…trust noone."

If Jim Valenti wasn't freaked before, then he sure was now.  The look he saw in her face just now, he had seen that before.  It is the look of people who are desperately telling the truth when every odd is against them.  He drove to the station and started searching for Isabelle's John doe.

"Isabelle…do you need anything?"

"Kyle…I can't thank you enough for everything you and your father are doing…I'm sorry I put you in this position…but here is the only place I knew their eyes couldn't reach."

"Who are they?"

"I don't know…they're not good, for me or you."

"Is there anyone you need me to call?"

"Kyle…could you just hold me?"

"Sure…"

Kyle had never so much as held a real conversation with Isabelle before, even though they both fit in to the popular category at school with him being a jock-type and her being the school's icequeen.  But tonight he had looked upon a strangers face, felt her trust and found an angel.

Meanwhile Liz, Tess and Maria had don some appropriate clothing for being in public, and were pretty concerned about their friend, or so it seemed.  They were flustered about what o do and where to go.

"Maria where are we going?"

"I'm not sure Liz, where would you go if you were a single, white, half-alien with a serious case of the freak-outs?"

"That's not helping Maria."  Liz snarled.

"OK, OK, look…we know she's not at your place since she's just left us there, we know she's not at Tess' place since she doesn't know where Tess is staying.  The only other places she knows are her own house, Michael's house and my house."

"So what are you suggesting?  We split up?"  Tess quipped.

"Sure.  I will go to my house, Tess you go to Michael's and Liz you go to Max."

The girls went about their business.  Liz had to explain to Tess how to get to Michael's house, but the instructions were simple and Tess knew that part of town already.  Only time would tell them what they were to find.

Jim returned home with information on the John Doe.

"Did you find him?"
