No Tomorrow

What if tomorrow never comes and this would
be the last time I'd see you fall asleep

I would tuck you in more tightly and pray
the Lord, your soul to keep
What if tomorrow never comes and this would
be the last time I would see you walk out the door

I would give you an extra hug and longer
kiss then call you back for one more
I would like to say I Love You

And always hope you never forget
Because just in case I could be wrong

And today is all I get

Tomorrow is never guaranteed to no one
Both young and old alike
For today could be your last chance

To hold your loved one tight
What if tomorrow never comes
You will surely regret this day

So if you are waiting for tomorrow
Please do it all today

A Mother's Love

A mother brings forth life
Which is the greatest gift of all
She will be your best supporter
With her love you will stand tall

A mother's heart beats for her children
It goes everywhere they go
She tells them in so many ways
How much she loves them so

A mother provides a shelter
She will guide you through the storm
Her arms will give protection
Her love alone will keep you warm

A mother's love is priceless
She is worth her weight in gold
'tho the years may age her body
Her love will never grow old

A mother's arms are always open
Her love is always by your side
She is someone you can count on
In her you always can confide

A mother can take the place of others
But her place no one can take
She will stand up for her children
'tho bad decisions they might make

A mother lives life for her children
She's like the left hand to their right
Her love is comforting and inspiring
She'll always be a guiding light

comment = "A mother's love is so strong
and
unyielding that it usually
endures all circumstances.
A mother's love perceives no impossibilities"

To Dream You Into View

The trees stand tall like sentinels
As they salute the morning sun
There's so many signs from nature
That new life has just begun

You can almost hear a pin drop
Upon the forest floor
Here I am at one with nature
With so much yet to explore

The sun shines out across the valley
On this early Summer's morn
I breathe in the cool clean air
And I feel like I'm reborn

The birds call to each other
Through the treetops way up high
As they go about their business
Before they take to the sky

I close my eyes and imagine
That I'm lying here with you
As I try with all my might
To dream you into view

I would have dreamed him into being"

From Sea To Shining Sea

As I sit here reminising
thoughts of you and me
Know you're faraway
across the deep blue sea

Happened to be thinking
what you may be doing now
Wonder if you're thinking
about me too somehow

I'm sending you my love
hope your thinking of me
Let's send each other a hug
from sea to shining sea

Voice Of The Deep

There's a quiet stillness
upon the deepest sea
Rushes to and fro
seems to call out to me

A voice calls from it's depths
like a whirlpool in the deep
Roars with the waves
foaming with the seethe

Opens powerful jaws
swallows what lies above
Power surges from beneath
showing no mercy or love

As storms brew overhead
lightening strikes it's glassy floor
When the storm has ended
the voices calm the shore

Was I At A Birthday Party?

Charlie Browns's sister
Sally went to a party.
This she did not know.
Charlie Brown asked her
If the person got presents
That delighted them.
Sally did not know
What Charlie Brown meant by that.
She had brought no cake.
Where it was that she was at
Until she had cake.
comment = This poem was inspired
by a conversation between Sally
and her brother Charlie Brown."

An Autumn Evening

Frozen sunsets chilled to rime.
Casting dusk among the pines.
Gentle winds ascend in beauty.
Whisking away, just whisking away.

Twilight comes among the stars.
Chilling darkness, glowing scars.
Growing lights encompass the scene.
Walking away, just walking away.

Away-purge me of the cold.
Inside me strip away my soul.
Away-purge me of the cold.
Forever bleeding frozen blood.
Away-purge me of the cold,
Or leave me here to frost again.

Marvelous fields laid to waste.
Broken flowers, a destructive fate.
Reminiscing as conscious falls.
Walking away, just walking away.

Show me the flowers, show me once more.
Dry these tears never shed before.
Show the flowers one last time.

Goodbye, Nice To Know You

Now, I must say the word
I never wanted to say
But I have to do it today
For the sake of you & me.
Goodbye to you,

For all the pain you've caused,
The endless arguments
And hurts that never fade.
Goodbye to your jealousy
Insecurities & yells

Goodbye to painful words
I will never hear them again.
Goodbye insinuations
No more explanations

To all the tears I wasted
I'll sleep them off to bed.
Goodbye to lonely nights
To pillows soaked with tears
Goodbye to your demands
To the undending commands.

Goodbye to you & me
For all the memories;
To the good & bad ones
Let's put them all to rest.

Goodbye, nice to know you
Before everything went worst
For all the lessons learned
I'll mark them 'til the end.

Farewell nice memories,
Don't come into my dreams
Don't disturb my resting mind
Let my lifeless heart to mend.

The only way I knew

did i not do everything you asked?
or all that you expected?
why could you not give it back?
why do i feel rejected?

i cooked for you as best i could
i loved you like no other
i did just what i said i would
why now is there "another?"

has she seen you cry and hurt inside?
has she felt you shake at night?
will she understand when you decide
her star is not so bright?

is she all you really seek?
will all your dreams come true?
is she just the flavor of the week?
would i do this to you?

will she look better on your arm?
or maybe without her clothes?
do you trust she'll never do you harm?
will she say "yes" when you propose?

are you sure you're something more to her
than a way to pass the time?
will this same thing again occur?
is her love for you like mine?

i'll start to heal and let you go
i'm not dumb...i know my cue
and in my heart i'll always know
i loved the only way i knew.

comment = so i will try and let go...right

A New Day Is Here

It's morning time
wake up with a smile
bring your coffee cup
we'll chat for a while

We'll talk about the sunshine
and the little birds that sing

We'll talk about good things
this new day will bring

Let's greet one another
with laughter and cheer
Let's thank the Lord above
for a new day is here

Beauty of friendship

Friendship is a Treasure
of togetherness
Built over years, brick by brick,
Building belief, each on the other!
One way traffic rules are,
On the road apply good,
But in the human relations
They have no role!

Learn the beauty of friendship
From the creepers that
Mingle together and entangle
With flowers fragrant
And leaves ever green!

Daddy, you're the greatest

standing so big and tall
When you pick me up
I've faith that I won't fall

If there's something I want
trustingly I go to you

You supply me with my needs
that's what daddies do

When you come home from work
there's always a hug for me

I love you daddy very much
you're the greatest there'll ever be

Jason's Overalls

In a corner of a dresser-drawer...
the third one in the middle,
...is a folded pair of over-alls...
they've faded just a little!
Size seven small, a little pair...
they've been there many years,
...each time she holds them even now...
she can't hold back the tears!
Folded up and put away...
when her son had outgrown 'em,
...safe inside her memory now...
she'd never even shown 'em!
He's almost grown...he thinks it so...
yet time can't take away,
...her precious memories from the past...
when he'd come in from play!
He'd put them on and say "Look Mom"...
with that little smile he had,
..."when I put on my over-alls...
I look just like my Dad!"
Sometimes she thinks of how he'd grin...
with both his front teeth gone,
...then wrap his arms around his neck...
the love in his eyes shone!
He's say, "I really love you, Mom"...
and then run out the door,
...so many times she's wished that she...
could hear those words once more!
And see him standing there...all fidgety and
proud,...his thumbs tucked in the little straps...
his voice so raspy loud!
So, now and then, she'll take them out...
and hold them to her heart,
...she'll close her eyes and see him then...
once more the tears will start!
Those days are gone...to be no more...
yet his mother still recalls,
...the shadowed image of her little boy...
in his little over-alls!

My Knight

once was lost and confused
But you came to rescue me

Dark had been my days back then

And know I'm able to see
I didn't know who you were

Or what your intentions could be

But the minute I looked into your eyes

I knew I was being set free
So I jumped on an opportunity

Presented to me by you
We rode off into the sunset

And I found myself somewhere new

We talked, laughed and soon became close
You really saved my soul

And I found myself falling in love

Where once there was a hole
A Knight in shining armor?

Something I never thought was true
I realized it wasn't a fantasy

When that knight turned out to be you
So God really does answer prayers

If you just have faith and believe

Because I am living proof
That true love can be achieved.

Crayon Colors

I sit by your side
when you're lonely and BLUE
I am you friend
who is faithful and true

When you are sick
that you turn pale YELLOW
I bring healing in the night
For I'm you bedfellow

When you become envious
that it makes your face GREEN
I am the gratitude
who wipes it clean

When the moon is ORANGE
yet fails to give it's light
I come to hold you near
and shower you with light

When the night is scary
you can't see in the BLACK
I wrap my arms around you
I'm here to watch your back

When the skies turn PURPLE
and they frighten you so
I draw you close to me
and never let you go

When the day is dusty
so dusty it turns BROWN
Just remember I am here
my presence is all around

When you become angry
that your face turns RED
I am here to calm you
and soothe your weary head

We are the many colors
in the crayon box
We come a calling
when someone knocks

The eyes of you

Gazing intensely
Fully aware of the taboo
Enticed by such radiance
Eyes enchantingly true

Neither Magical nor mystical
Come close to compare
To the riches found
In that blue so rare

Like a mirror of illumination
Reflected of your eyes
Absorbed by the heavens
For the summer skies

And off all the finest blue
Oceans and man made too
I have never seen such wonder
As in the eyes of you

Stand Tall
Today is the day I stand at ease,
To enrich the soil with newborn seeds.

Dancing in the wind as my limbs whistle
in the air,As the dark clouds give the
sun a distant glare.

Rain takes place within minutes to pass,
Nearby trees with hope it will last.

I settle in the wind as the night begins to
fall,With hope for tomorrow
will still stand tall

Shadows of You

You would appear along the wall at
anytime of the day,

Images of you seem so clear to me
but begin to fade away.
There are moments to wonder how long

you will stay,
Sunshine days like this your just a
Heartbeat away.
It would be nice to see you when the

sky is filled with gray,
The echoe of your voice ripples with
the tide along the bay.
As the clouds fill the sky where light
use to be,
I'd turn once again to find only Me.

Acts Of Kindness

Show a little kindness
in all you do and say
It'll be a better place
for everyone today

Telephone a loved one
invite them out to lunch
Send some wild flowers
a bow tied round a bunch

Bake some oatmeal cookies
deliver them to a friend
Simple acts of kindness
to someone you can lend

Do it with joy and gladness
these little acts you do
For there may be a time
someone'll do it for you

Lost Love Found

A soul lost six years ago,
For my daughter I did not know.
Came to me the other day,
with these words she had to say.
I'm six years old and very smart,
my life with you i wish to start.
I haven't seen you in many years,
the words she said brought me to tears.
I remember the songs you sang each night,
as a little babe you held so tight.
The songs you sang so sweet and true,
sing to me dad for I miss you.
I know you love me very much,
i miss your hugs and gentle touch.
I remember you dad with all my heart,
so please daddy do your part. To my
daughter Emily who made me see the light.
