What is SSS?

Student Support Services (SSS) is a federally funded program at Northern Marianas College which offers support services to students of low-income families, first generation, or disabled student.  These support services should increase their retention and graduation rates, facilitate their transfer from two-year to four-year colleges, and foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of low-income and first generation college students and students with disabilities.  Student Support Services has continously expanded its services to meet student needs on all three campuses on Saipan, Rota, and Tinian.  Since its inception in fall of 1984, Student Support Services has provided assistance to over 1,500 program participants.  This year, Student Support Services is mandated to serve 160 students.
