Beautiful, usable and collectable. Most likely Savage Bros. (Chicago) Manufactured late 19th century or early 20th. This pattern was made for a long period of time. Measures just under 22 inch diameter by 10+ inch deep with 8 inch handles made of ¾" wrought iron and attached to kettle with heavy copper rivets. Kettle was shaped and wrought in two pieces with an intricate dove-tail type brazed and hammered seem. I used the kettle regularly as a working prop in my catering and event business. It has small brazed repairs in the center of the bottom which are typical of kettles from that period. Such repairs were professionally done and pose no problem with the use of the kettle. A thing of beauty and in sound usable condition. Approximate weight 30 lbs.
