Sept 4 - 9

Snow dusting at 2000 meters on Sept 6th. Had to wait until - the 7th for the storm to clear before
hiking up into the mountains.

The peak in the back with clouds and sunlight making it difficult to see is Dachstein.
That would be my destination if it weren't for that glacier, the storm
coming in and all this snow on the trail!

The Simony Hut - the only one I could get to.. the next would take 9 hours through a foot or
two of snow... according to a group that just came from there.

How come there's no beware of dogs sign anywhere?

Just a bit of snow.

The storm rolled back in the night I stayed at the hut. I waited til noon the next day and then
made my way down through snow, hail, and rain off and on for 5 1/2 hours.
