Our short trip home
Upon arrival back in the UK, it felt very odd.  There were so many things that we were familiar with but oddly they felt very unfamiliar;

- registration plates had changed
- the weather was very cold
- everything was so green
- people were driving on the left
- people spoke English!!!
- using the ATM machine without being charged

.....and we actually realised that we owned more than 3 pairs of pants, had a bag full of toiletries and had more changes of clothes than we had had in a long time! (oh, must not forget the hairdryer!) It was quite exciting (even for Dave) rumaging through all our belongings that we had left in London the year before.  Our journey North was great, meeting up with all of Dave's relatives again, a big thank you to eveyone who put us up (or put up with us!!)

Before we knew it we were up in Glasgow, hair being cut and posh gear on for the wedding.  Dave was unsure what to do with his socks and tie and I had a pair of highheel shoes that made me crippled within a few minutes, how was I going to manage a whole day!  The wedding was a great day and the bride and groom were very handsome and extremy happy. Needless to say we danced the night away, had too much too drink and I was sick 3 times on the way home and Dave could not get out of bed the next day! Obviously we are not used to the high living!! After a days recovery we headed back to London collected the bikes and caught our flight to France....
