As the sediment laden waves of the sea crash into the earth and rocky cliffs of their coasts they cleave (asunder), cleft, cut (out), rip (up), rend (asunder), hatch, open, tear, divide, break (through, into, forth, out, up, into pieces), burst, breach, win, the earth, and the rocky cliffs of their coasts, and more earth and rock is broken up, and worn down, and swallowed up by the sea. Habakkuk 3:9..Isaiah 57:20

Mountains of filth, mire, mud (as roiled). mire and to be sticky, mud, mire, clay, dirt (to be swept away). dirt. are stirred up within the sea, and the sea throws and rolls the stoney sand and pebbles onto its shores.

Roiled: to render turbid by stirring.
