Winds pass over the earth.
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and
God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters asswaged. Genesis 8:1

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it know more. Psalm
105:15,16

Winds pass (blow) over the sea.
1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four
winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. Revelation
7:1

31 And there went forth a wind from the LORD, and brought quails from the sea, and let them fall by the
camp, as it were a day's journey on this side, and as it were a day's journey on the other side, round
about the camp, and as it were two cubits high upon the face of the earth. Numbers 11:31

2 Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove
upon the great sea. Daniel 7:2

32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind
shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. Jeremiah 25:32

Winds rush, and winds spread out,
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house
where they were sitting. Acts 2:2

6 Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad
as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD. Zechariah 2:6

and winds whirl about.
6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and
the wind returneth again according to his circuits. Ecclesiastes 1:6

There are whirling winds on the land (in deserts).
19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the [
midbar..pasture land, open field, desert, wilderness]
wilderness, and smote
the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead;
and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. Job 1:19

There are whirling winds at sea.
14 But not long after there arose against it a tempestuous wind called Euroclydon.

15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let her drive. Acts 27:14,15

Vapour is driven by the wind.
3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud, and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that

Sand is whirled about in the wind.
11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren, and
looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

Dust is carried in the wind.
22 Thou liftest me up to the wind; thou causest me to ride upon it, and dissolvest my substance. Job 30:22
Genesis 3:19

35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became
like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found
for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth. Daniel

15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the
mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff.

Bits of dead vegetation (chaff & stubble) are carried in the wind.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Psalm 1:4

5 Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them. Psalm 35:5
