Thank you for enquiring about our range of needle craft workboxes: It all started quite a few years ago when my wife Jeans hobby had got to the stage of taking over the house with plastic boxes, bags and drawers full of essential bits & pieces. "Ok " I said, "I will buy you a nice box for Christmas to keep it all in". --- I'm sure you know the story of how difficult it is to find something suitable and durable ---- "Ok" I said, "Being an accomplished furniture maker, I will design and make you one." Jean and her fellow cross-stitchers took a very keen interest and became deeply involved in the various designs & prototypes until it reached the stage when it was deemed to be good and they all wanted one ---- and wouldn't it be a good idea to sell them to fellow cross-stitchers, but if you just add this & ---- "Ok" I said. What we would like to present to you is a way of choosing your ideal needlecraft workbox from our list of options as detailed on the order form, from which we will then make your Heirloom Workbox. What we have done is to incorporate some of the most desirable features of our 'bespoke' boxes into the Heirloom range to which optional features can be added, including any number of large capacity drawers to create an individual workbox to contain all the boxes of bobbins, skeins of thread, magazines, charts & hoops etc etc that you have collected. The lid of the tray compartment pivots on substantial brass screws rather than flimsy hinges - which invariably break or fall off.

The Solid Oak and Oak veneers used are all obtained from certified sustainable sources which are managed to protect the environment. You can choose to have a workbox with a lifting lid compartment on top & a sliding tray holding all your 'every day' bits and pieces, with any number or combination of drawer sizes & options built in. Alternatively you can choose our 'storage box' with a fixed lid to use as a table with the drawers & options you require built in. Ideal as a matching pair or as individual items, the choice is yours. You tell us what you want from our list of options & we will make and send it to you. Supplied ready assembled as standard in a natural oak hand waxed finish, but can be supplied in either light or dark oak finish at extra cost.
