The Frequent Animation Home Page finally rises again from the void of cyber space.
It's been well over a year since any real updates, but these are times of great change, and you can expect some new changes here.

Having gone back to school for a year, time has been devoted to those pursuits, but now, having graduated, its back on track again.

The success of The Mometers, my steady rock gig, is very satisfying, but the irresistible force of Frequent Animation is, well...irresistible!

My second full length CD, titled
DECODA, is almost complete (again) after deciding to remix several tracks.  More info will be added as time allows concerning the 1st and 2nd album.  Go to "Sounds" for more details.
More to come!

New additions in Sound.  Song descriptors added for both albums. Not full descriptions, but a few choice terms that suggest their flavor.

Three Acoustic Guitars Mp3 added to Self-Titled album page.

DECODA is finally complete. I'm quite satisfied with the way it turned out, though the urge to tweak it more is constant. At some point you gotta say it's done. The difference between this and my "self-titled" is pretty vast, but to me, it's mostly that my playing ability is more consistant. Whatever the case, if you get to hear it, I hope you can appreciate the effort.

The Mometers have added 2 songs from DECODA to the set list:
Rhombus and New Pond, move on
Occasionally we also play
Try Tri Try.

Work is underway for the next full-length CD of FREQUENT ANIMATION material. Ten songs are currently in production, and a bunch more are on the drawing board. I hope to complete the project before the end of 2002.

These days mark a new beginning for Frequent Animation musically, artistically,  and spiritually.

Having just recently escaped death by vehicular collision with a deer, I am experiencing an energetic surge in my creative output. This web site will be undergoing a gradual change from highlighting only my audio accomplishments, to an all-encompassing gallery of projects I've been involved in over the years.
MAY 27, 2002
The transformation has begun.

The creative surge is ceaseless. So much to do.

Extraordinary results demand extraordinary effort. Who knows if what I do is
beyond ordinary, but it's the best I can do with such tools and time.

This section used to be called news, but here after,  it will be a catch-all for events, thoughts, inspirations, aspirations...various musings when it strikes my fancy.

It's been just over 2 years since I projected the completion of my next Frequent Animation album. Now that the album is just about 75% complete, it seems obvious that good things come to those who wait. Over the years I was concerned that my next album not be a continuation of where DECODA left off, but a brand new vision, a new continuum of ideas and textures. Happily, it is shaping up to be just that, and more than I could have imagined.

In the past six months the muse grabbed me and has not let go. All the vital components are falling into place, in their own time and way, and the results are proving very satisfying.

Album and track titles will be posted closer to its completion, accompanied by its own web page.

For now, know that it is a story, and a soundtrack for a film, containing 13 chapters/scenes.
For best results, listen to it in it's entirety in one sitting. Shortly after I receive my Income Tax refund, I will be able to afford a digital video camera, there upon preliminary filming will begin.

Consistant in my inconsistancy, here is a long overdue update of the goings on in Frequent Animation Land.

The next Frequent Animation project, DEEP FOREST INFORMANT (DFI), is still coming along, very close to completion. I've since abandoned any notion of a deadline however, for the concept and scope of DFI has progressively grown richer and more intricate over the past year.

The creation of the album has drawn the inevitable support from, of course, the Deep Forest Informant, as well has fellow cohort Mike Koslow.

Mike's contribution of vocals and lyrics has been a key to many doors along the journey to the albums completion, and has further strenghtened the foundation of the core ideas therein..

The story cycle is still 13 tracks, though certain songs have been replaced with new creations. And some establish tracks have undergone major revisions. The influence of the Deep Forest Informant is quite persuasive in that respect. Such wisdom should not be idly ignored.

Preliminary conceptual filming has begun on mini DV format.

DEEP FOREST INFORMANT has been completed for over 2 years now, and I have to say its great.
Alas, its really money that has prevented the CD from being released. Plus almost 3 years of not being able to update my website. I'll admit I'm a bit stoopid. It was Norton's anti-virus program that prevented me from updating my own website. I disabled it recently, and now I can update. cool.

While the album has  ot been released, it still remains relevant through shows/listening parties I hold in a secret underground lair.
