After centuries of abuse, the enemies of the Shen-Soltari formed a short time alliance to band together against this threat. During this alliance the enemies of the Shen-Soltari created an army. Lead by four outcasts that once served the Shen-Soltari, the new army became the Kar-Soltari. The four outcasts created a new method of fighting, a way to fight back at the Shen-Soltari. This new method was called Karitu which meant "The art of Elements". Most if not all Soltari possess powerful elemental powers, the Kar-Soltari found a way to harness it deeper and focus it. This new way of fighting using their given elemental powers proved effective, the Kar-Soltari, succeded in driving back the Shen-Soltari from their lands. However once the Shen-Soltari retreated from the lands and formed an inner city, the alliance fell apart and the army split into dozens of smaller clans. The art of Karitu still exists and is practiced today as a means to keep the Shen-Soltari out of the clans lands. This style can prove to be very draining as it taps directly into the Soltaris elemental energy however, it is a very powerful style, which is useful against energy attacks as well. Although this style is strong it is found this style is almost completely nullified by the fighting art of Zen. The faster arts of Shen-Soltari have been seen to stand their ground against the art of Karitu
