Once at a concert, Flansburgh and Linnell went on a hunger strike. After a while, they were bony and emaciated. You could see their ribs and hip-bones. Linnell passed away rather quickly. Flansburgh lasted longer, but went mad during the end as his body consumed his nerves and brain cells for fuel. His pockmarked body had sores and mysterious white scaly spots on it when he finally died.
