Once at a concert, a lightning bolt struck Linnell and he got severely burned. His flesh was seared so bad that his fingers were fused together like a duck's webbed foot. Then, another lightning bolt hit Flansburgh. The electricity boiled the fluid in his eyes and they both exploded. One spark ran down his leg and permanently burnt his foot into the stage.
